Happy New Year to all of our Church Extension Fund supporters. Your 2011 Annual Statements, tax documents (such as your T5, T4RSP, T4RIF, etc) and newsletter will be in the mail soon.

The December 31, 2011 Investment by Congregation Report is now available for all of our CEF Representatives, K.I.D.S. Cooridnators and any other interested individuals.

Have you checked out the two new opportunities that CEF is offering for you to help your church or Lutheran School.

RRSP Season is here! Your RRSP deadline for contributing to your RRSP for the 2011 tax year is February 29, 2012.

Church Extension Fund is proud to announce the addition of two new products that can help you support the churches and schools in the Alberta-British Columbia District:

Faithful Servant Interest Account

- offers depositors with Church Extension Fund the ability to donate a portion of the interest earned on their account(s) to a specific congregation or Lutheran School in the Alberta-British Columbia District.

Building a Solid Foundation – Investments that Build Schools

- an oportunity to support Lutheran Schools in the ABC District by chosing a zero percent interest investment so that the school can borrow at zero percent interest for a new building project.

RRSP / RRIF Interest Rates to be adjusted

Effective October 1, 2011, ABC District Investments Ltd. interest rates on RRSP and RRIF’s will be reduced 1/4 % to better reflect the rates in the financial marketplace and the policies of ABC District Investments Ltd. and Church Extension Fund.

To avoid a possible delay in receiving your RRIF payment, interest earned on a CEF term investment, or withdrawal on an account that you would normally receive by cheque, we would encourage you to complete and sign a Preauthorized Debit / Credit Agreement EFT-FORM. Return the completed form to us by fax (780-477-9829) or email (cef@lccabc.ca) with a void cheque and we will set up an electronic funds transfer (EFT) so that you receive your funds without delay.

KIDS KLUB Activity Booklet and more….

The ABC District is being proactive in promoting Biblical literacy, and the KIDS KLUB is part of that. Church Extension Fund is proud to present K.I.D.S. K.L.U.B., a program of Bible Memorization that can be used in conjunction with the K.I.D.S. Stamp program or on its own! K.I.D.S. stands for Kids Into Discipleship and Stewardship and K.L.U.B. stands for Kids Learning and Understanding the Bible. Check out the K.I.D.S. K.L.U.B. pages and find activities that will challenge young to old! Add one of these activitie to your family’s daily devotions.
