Interest Rate Change

ABC District Investments Ltd (RRSP and RRIF accounts only) is announcing an adjustment of the interest rate effective May 1, 2012 to 4.25%. As a group savings account, the earnings of the fund are paid out to the investor less the management fee. We will continue to monitor this fund monthly and adjust the rate accordingly. All other interest rates remain the same. Current interest rates for all ABC District Investments Ltd and Church Extension Fund products are available by contacting the ABC District Office or visiting the rate page on the CEF website.

The Congregational CEF & ABC District Investments Report as of February 29, 2012 is now available.

Statements and Tax Documents Mailed

Statements for all Church Extension Fund and ABC District Investments Ltd. accounts have recently been mailed out. Tax notices (T5’s, Official Receipts for RRSP contributions, T4RIF’s and T4RSP’s) have also been mailed to those who qualify. Official Receipts for any RRSP contributions made in the first 60 days of 2012 will be mailed March 7, 2012. If you haven’t received your statement or tax documents, please contact us at 1-888-474-0063.

Through Church Extension your savings and investments work to provide loans to congregations, Lutheran Schools and other ministry entities that need to buy property, build, renovate or expand their ministry facilities, and build your savings at the same time. Happy New Year to all of our Church Extension Fund supporters. Your 2011 Annual Statements, tax documents (such as your T5, T4RSP, T4RIF, etc) and newsletter will be in the mail soon.

The December 31, 2011 Investment by Congregation Report is now available for all of our CEF Representatives, K.I.D.S. Cooridnators and any other interested individuals.

Faithful Servant Interest Account

- offers depositors with Church Extension Fund the ability to donate a portion of the interest earned on their account(s) to a specific congregation or Lutheran School in the Alberta-British Columbia District.

Building a Solid Foundation – Investments that Build Schools

- an oportunity to support Lutheran Schools in the ABC District by chosing a zero percent interest investment so that the school can borrow at zero percent interest for a new building project.

RRSP / RRIF Interest Rates to be adjusted

Effective October 1, 2011, ABC District Investments Ltd. interest rates on RRSP and RRIF’s will be reduced 1/4 % to better reflect the rates in the financial marketplace and the policies of ABC District Investments Ltd. and Church Extension Fund.
